Michael L We had a mold problem 4 years ago and thought the mold had come back. We were getting a really bad smell on one side of the house so we called two companies. The first one told us they would clean out our crawl space for an exorbitant amount of money. The second one, Absolutely Spotless took air testing and informed us that there was no mold problem in the air of our home and no remediation was needed. I had a HORRIBLE experience and see that many other customers had and awful experience, as well. 75% bad reviews vs. 25% good reviews! The owner of the company "Robert" had such poor customer service skills. Quoting us a price of 250 for the inspection and 350 for the test. Never mentioned that it was 350 to perform ONE test. Once the inspection was finished the quote was up to 3200.00! We ordered a test and that test was said to be completed and reported back to us in 3-4 business days. It's not every day that I choose to write a review on the experience that I have with a company but when I had Absolutely Spotless come to my home and take care of a mold problem that I had long neglected I was extremely impressed! The owner Philip spent a lot of time with me answering all of my questions about how he thought it got there, whether or not he thought it was dangerous to my health and how to fix the problem so it wouldn't come back. First and foremost the purpose of this post is to commend Philip and his crew from Absolutely Spotless for a job well done. With that said, we have a home at the Jersey Shore that was flooded during hurricane Sandy last fall. We also thought we had done everything right at that time. We called in a contractor who ripped out the walls and the insulation underneath the house and then sprayed for mold. I'm giving them a poor review based on their customer service. Philip (president) does not know how to speak to people. He should learn to address customer service issues in a better manner.

Our offices were flooded during Hurricans Sandy and after researching a variety of mold remediation companies on-line and speaking with several I chose to hire Absolutely Spotless. I dealt with the owner Philip and we were very impressed with all aspects of the relationship. First he spent over an hour evaluating the damage to the building, and then meeting with myself and the our CEO he was very patient in explaining the entire process from the initial testing to the diagnosis to the remediation process. BEWARE!!! Owner Philip quoted us $250 for the visit / mold inspection and $350 for lab work after Sandy. $600 dollars seemed fair and in line with other quotes and he could come out sooner than the others so we asked him to come by. Once he was in the foyer he stated that it was $250 for the visit / mold inspection and $350 per lab test and we would need to have six lab tests done for him to feel comfortable, if all tests were clean, to declare the house was mold free for a total of $2,350. BEWARE! Scam artist!!! The owner Phillip came to our house after we tried to cancel our appointment. He ignored the phone calls showed up anyway, pushed himself into the house and demanded $250 when we told him we didn't want to use his service. He proceeded to get loud, angry and demanding as we explained that we didn't want his services. After he refused to leave our house we offered him $50 for gas which he stated could only cash or a check written out to cash.
