The doctor gave me a verbal diagnosis of atypical narcolepsy which turns out is not really a thing. Prescribed an extremely expensive medication which was initially being covered through the VA, however, neglected dimension this facility is no longer associated with the VA and I was then paying for things out of pocket without any notice whatsoever. He was also a no-show for our last telephone appointment.
Dr. Ishaaya listened to me when no other doctor took my illness seriously. I suffered for years with a mysterious illness. I had a doctor at UCLA that thought I was just depressed. I went to see Dr. Ishaaya since I had him in the past and had confidence in his expertise. Within minutes, he knew what was wrong. I found out I had a neuromuscular autoimmune disease. He takes his patients seriously and genuinely cares about their well-being.
We came here because of sleep disturbance that were quite traumatizing causing many problems. Dr Abraham markets as a “Sleep Doctor”. To me, he seemed quite uninterested in our case of terrible insomnia while needing so much medication just to fall and stay asleep. He referred us to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, of which he had no recommending practice for. We thought, since he is/was well versed in sleep problems, he would at least request for us to follow up with him to see if there had been
Excellent doctor, so glad we found him. Let's patients be involved in their care. Makes himself accessible. Listens. Cares. Dr. Ishaaya is the best:)
This doctor gave me a bronchoscopy, which involved a general anaesthetic, when all I had to do was go to Quest and spit in a cup. He also made an incorrect diagnosis and treated me for a fungal disease I didn't have. I actually had a lung infection that was cured with a two-week course of antibiotics.
Dr. Ishaaya is an excellent doctor, extremely knowledgeable in both Pulmonology and Internal Medicine. But more, he truly cares about his patients. He has gone above and beyond in helping take care of my disabled family member, not only providing great medical care, but also providing assistance with issues regarding home health services, medical supplies and insurance. Our family has been blessed to have him as our doctor.
He is knowledgable about every area of of medicine I have had encounters with. He genuinely cares about his patients' health, emotions, time, and even wallet!!! He has gone out of his way for me to make sure I don't pay more than I should for treatment and is so available to his patients at all times, even by text message! Fantastic doctor.
