I had a hernia repair with Arango. He sent me home with an Rx for ibuprofen. I called back in great pain about 8 hours after the procedure he told me that I shouldn’t be in that much pain and just blew me off. The next morning I called back explaining I was in excruciating pain and all he said was that I should go to the ER as I shouldn’t be in pain. He couldn’t care less. I understand the opioid epidemic but surgeons should keep their patients comfortable while healing. unfriendly too
I was calling as a new patient.I had to wait forever, and then the first lady that answered asked if my insurance was commercial, and I said that I wasn't sure so she started to argue that I had to know in a really bad way.I told her that she had to explain me because I didn't know what that means, and she hung up. Then, I called back, and I was explaining all to another one named Lourdes, and she told me to stop complaining in a really bad way too. It's impossible to get to the doctor this way.
Dr. Arango and his staff exemplify true compassion for the well being of their patients. His practice has a very humane approach to patient care that is unparalleled. I would recommend Dr. Arango with any reservations as an outstanding surgeon and amazing human being.
I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early January 2016. Dr. Arango scheduled an appointment and informed me that I was ready to undergo a Pancreatectomy (Whipple procedure) to remove the tumor. He performed the operation on January 18, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Miami, and followed-up with me for these last 6 months. I could not be more satisfied than I am. I am doing remarkably well considering the procedure and have found Dr. Arango a most competent doctor and compassionate human being.
This a very good Doctor! To me the best in Miami.
