In a hospital like medical center he got my file mixed up with someone elses. Insisted he was there discuss perform a procedure that was inappropriate for what I was being seen for. I argued with him for sometime. He had my name right but obviously got me mixed up with somebody else. He never did examine me for what he should have. But had no problem suggesting medicine for something other than what I was being seen for.
Dr. Joe has seen me since 1996 or so. Great surgeon, knowledgeable and caring. He's removed my Melanoma, fixed the Hernia, done the EGD and colonoscopy & removed the Polyps more than once.

He met with me in my room before the surgery to discuss what had to be done and tell me about the procedure. He was very professional and calming.
Recently was referred to him for a hernia repair. His staff went above and beyond fitting me in right away and spending time with me answering questions and getting the records I need for a future surgery, never trying to rush me out. Before the surgery Dr Abdo explained everything clearly and everything went well with no complications. I truly appreciate them for caring and taking the time to make sure everything went well and I understood everything. Excellent. Dr. Joe has done numerous endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures on me, and removed several polyps during these operations. He fixed my umbilical hernia just recently. I like his honesty and concern for the patient's well being.
I had my appendix removed with no pain whatsoever! He has done 2 procedures on me with the best results! I would never choose a different surgeon! Love him!!
Excellent doctor, excellent staff. Every visit to this beautifully decorated office has been perfect. About a year ago Dr. Abdo removed my gall bladder, and just recently he fixed a recurrent inguinal hernia. Both were done with perfection. The office of Dr. Abdo has my full confidence and 5-star recommendation.
