So disappointed in this company that I have heard so many good things about. I had the worst nightmare scenario that one could have with owning a house. My furnace broke and the technician thinks there is issues with my AC unit as well. Total nightmare. I am so disappointed and upset with this company. My AC died back in May. It took weeks, several calls, and ultimately me hiring my own contractor to get the work done. The customer service is awful. Everyone tells you they will call you back, and no one does. I thought my battle was finally over when I hired my own contractor, who charged me $700 less than the people ABC sent out, and got the job done the next day (ABC's were going to take another week). We had our ups and downs with ABC in terms of claims in the past. On a couple occasions I had to read from the warranty paperwork to ensure items were covered properly, only for ABC to turn around and call the contractor they sent out asking why he educated me on the details of the warranty, when it was simply me reading and holding them accountable to their warranty. It was our agent’s error that she did not complete this request. The account has been cancelled and we refunded $35.00 you were charged in error. We can assure you this situation was not ideal and the process to cancel a protection plan is much smoother than what occurred. Thank you for being our customer.
I am writing this review on April 27, 2020. I have had a pending claim since mid-January 2020 as my washer quit working. At first, the contractor said it was one part that needed replaced. IGS called me and told me I could pay $20 for the part, or receive a $100 credit towards a new washer. I chose the former, believing that was the better option. Our furnace was not lighting properly. I called in the claim and waited for a week and three days for a contractor’s call that never came. I got the issue resolved myself and canceled the call. I’ve had good service from ABC in the past, but this was horrible.

I personally don't want to leave any stars for this company. I happened to notice that my monthly payment was not taken from my account. So I called them today. What do I find out? Well they are no longer offering the warranty that I have had for many years. Imagine my shock when I heard this because they did not even bother to notify me that they were discontinuing it! Really? We have been using ABC since we bought our home in 2016 and have been very pleased with the service and response of ABC. I am saddened to hear that they will be changing over to another name and changing their plan structure . but overall I am pleased with the service just not the price changes or what's covered .

This is our third home warranty company. The first was ok but it was through our mortgage company, which we lost when refinanced with another company. The second was awful. ABC gets a contractor in touch with you within 1 business day. I have nothing but good things to say about this company.

I don’t want to even leave one star ... I’m so devastated... I had a new water heater installed and my six children and I are sitting here with no hot water .... now keep in mind we had hot water with the old leaky tank we had ... no baths ... I don’t wish this company on anyone or anything...... I’m so devastated....
