The Abbott's Lobster in Noank may seem far of to commute just for a sandwich, but seriously, this one is worth your money, time and travel. Located near the the Noank Shipyard, this little outdoor restaurant overlooks the pristine blue waters of the ocean. Renowned across Connecticut, for its hot lobster roll, this little eatery is jam-packed with customers throughout the day. Butter-smothered lobster is served on a freshly baked bun, along with some fries and beverage of your choice. The restaurant does not stock any alcoho... read more

Let's leave this place to the tourists. I'm a local and haven't been here in probably 20 years, my memories were good. This time, I got the omg lobster roll, and my wife, the hot lobster roll. The lobster was not fresh, cold, tasted like last week and must have been stored in a water bath because my roll was drenched and I couldn't even pick it up. Come on Abbotts, you're better than this!
Loved it! We were only there for the weekend and we are there 2 days in a row!
This place is like any other fish joint around, but with higher prices. Along with this, the menu is limited, the bathrooms are dirty, the cole slaw and salad was average, and the clam chowder comes in a flimsy bowl that cracks. The worst item on the menu is the artichoke. When we were placing our order, we asked if it was good and all we got was a blank stare. Now we know why, it was almost inedible. I LOVE it here! Great views and a 5lb lobster! HELLO!! =)
Went for the first time Saturday, June 20, after reading all the superb reviews for years and years. Yes the waterside views are nice, but the food I had was poor to mediocre at best. Broth clam "chowder": about a cup's worth with three little pieces of clam. The crab cakes: Sausage-patty size and half filler, with a tired piece of lemon on the side and some kind of "sauce." You are resting on your "reputation," Abbott's. You'll have to do a lot better to ever get me back there.
