I have always had excellent care for my pets, as well as kindness from all the Vets and staff. I will agree though, that Meds are more expensive there, so for at least one of my dogs medications, I go to the specialist in Ann Arbor. I assume that it has something to do with how much they order and how much they pay. I’ve been completely satisfied with the care they give and have no desire to change Vets at this time.
I've been going there since April 2016, they diagnosed her deformed rt. rear knee, that we were questioning. She referred us to an ortho surgeon, who did what he could. He too was great but, unfortunately my dog needed more than what he could preform. So I was referred to MSU Sm Animal Clinic. Long story short, Abbott Road Animal Clinic, is a great place to go for pet care and at reasonable prices.
They were wonderful when I had to put my best friend of 14 years to rest this summer and have been fantastic with my new puppy.
Poorly organized and very unprofessional. Extremely long wait times without any communication from staff on when you will be seen. I think the vet met with us in the lobby and weighed our dogs but she didn't introduce herself so I am not sure. Left after waiting an hour to have our first appointment.
You are not animal behavioralists... This is a vet clinical for medical care. If you can not aid animals in need because they are fearful of you then you should take a long hard look at yourself.
I adopted a dog from the East Lansing area, but her prior owner was older and couldn't recall where he took her. When called to see if this was her doctor's office, Mikayla was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. It turns out this isn't where our girl went, but I was really impressed with their professionalism.
Today we took our cat Riley in today because he was literally trying to bite his skin off. They said he had fleas and that he was severely allergic. I've never had a flea issue before so I had no idea how to help him or fix it. The vet and assistant walked me through what to do and set me up with all the stuff. They gave Riley a steroid shot for some temporary relief. Hes been sleeping at home since! The itching was so bad he wasnt sleeping!
