I just received the following private message which does not address the issues: "We are Kansas City First and Most Trusted Fixed Rate Mover. We offer exact price before you move. Our state of the art website allows you to see your price within seconds of entering your inventory. We truly allow you to budget the move you want." Aardvark Moving did a really good job. I sold and got rid of some things so they adjusted and took off those items which lowered the price. There were three guys who loaded everything very quickly and they were nice and courteous. I had to do two drop offs of some of the items and they were very timely. We started at 8:15 in the morning to about 1:15 in the afternoon. The price ended up being what they quoted me.

What should have been a simple move, turned out to be a nightmare, due in large part to the general manager Josh Gordon. The only upside was an employee Christina C. (a customer service representative) who was extremely empathetic, and worked hard to resolve our issues. Our move did not go well. Movers did show up on time, but were far from professional. On delivery my waterbed was not properly assembled. Also the Grandfather clock pendulum was damage due to not being packed, The crew had not clue how to assemble the Grandfather clock. I spoke with Josh on the phone. He told me to have the work done and he would pay for it. I sent the bill for the water bed with no response. Seven months after moving here I just discovered that these idiots left a live plant at the back of a shelf where I wouldn't find it for a long time instead on the shelf the plants were to go onto It was a large pot with 3 Euphoria Trigonias. One was broken over, one looked dead, and one looked half dead! Since these are succulents, I watered them and stuck the broken one into the soil hoping it would root. There were numerous problems but the most outstanding was when the supervisor of a 3 man crew injured himself and I took him to the ER. The other 2 dumped items at random in the garage and various rooms so I can’t find what I need. I am missing a computer, adding machine, & hundreds of $$$ worth of stamps. I did find my table leaves under boxes in the garage! My typewriter and telephone equipment can’t be replaced so I brought them in the car but there was no room for the stamps. I suggest not using this company.

Not recommended – I contracted with this company a year ago to pack, move, and store my household. They moved two trucks of furniture and only returned one truck. They did not store my goods in a secured warehouse as indicated, instead left it on a truck in their parking lot for a month before the truck was stolen off their lot. Per checks were stolen and forged in excess of $25,000. The owner said he would reimburse me for my losses, however after sending him the list...to date I never heard from him.
