I cannot believe the amount of help and cooperation I got from A Step in Time! My HOA had their chimney company complete their annual inspection of my fireplace and condemned it, saying it was unsafe for use due to leaking water from a rusty chase cover. Upon learning this, I ordered a dual chase cover to begin the repairs. My husband and I always prefer to support local companies. However, Mike the owner of “A Step In Time” was a step right into hell. He is one of the most unprofessional people/ companies I’ve ever had to deal with. We had TWO no call no show appointments that we took two PTO days off (during the holiday season) to wait for him. When I called to speak to the owner to express my complaints, i could hardly get two words in to explain what happened before I was yelled at on the phone saying I was giving him attitude. I scheduled a chimney cleaning with this company three weeks in advance. The time they said I needed to be home was a window between 12 p.m. and 2 pm. I put in for the afternoon off work the next day. The evening before that cleaning day they called and left a message asking me if I could change my window from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as they would be in my neighborhood early.
