My youngest son who has Down syndrome amd apraxia has been seeing Laura for five years. With her expert help he has improved so very much. Laura was able to adjust quickly during the Covid shut downs and actually made zoom speech therapy work. Three of my older kids had speech issues and Meredith was able to help each of them. Our son has Apraxia and Laura and Meredith Are amazing. Our sons speech has improved so much any time any one interacts with him now they are amazed. Our son is excited to see them and gets sad when we can’t make it. I would highly recommend Mile high speech therapy.
Laura is an amazing SLP! We found her in our search for a SLP who specialized in the DTTC method for Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Our child was older, nonverbal, with good receptive language, complex expressive language issues and extensive medical issues. He was trying to become more verbal and Laura was the missing link. Laura Smith is the absolute best SLP you can get for your child, especially if you suspect Apraxia. Laura changed our lives and I am thankful for her every day. She has worked with my daughter for 4 years and she has made so much progress in large part due to Laura and her whole-child approach. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
Laura and Meredith are truly miracle workers, and I am so happy we found them. My son has severe apraxia and had no sounds when we started with them. They are patient and creative with him at every visit and have helped him so much. Meredith plans every lesson to fit my sons current interests to keep him engaged. Laura and Meredith have made such a difference in how my son is able to communicate, both with vocalizing and with his AAC device.
