We took our 8 month old in for a referral from our pediatrician for one of her eyes kind of not aligning with the other. Our appointment was at 9. When we went into the first room the lady was awesome! She did some testing on our little one and showed great compassion and patience. They dilated her eyes and said they’d call us back for the next step in 30 minutes. After waiting over an hour after dilation we were finally called back to see the ophthalmologist . They said my son was near sided and quickly wrote him a prescription which I threw away. My son has not shown any signs of trouble being able to see. I will not put a 3yr old in glasses unle... read more

She's canceled on me twice. Each time she does, it's another 6 month wait, unless I want to be placed on the 'wait list' with all of the other cancelled appointments. Most families do not have lives where they can just drop everything for a lottery ophthalmologist appointment, we have to plan for these things. I am trying to move to another Dell Children's doctor closer to South Austin. Every appointment I've had in the north office has been disappointing.
