We had an amazing experience at Low Country Backyard restaurant tonight (Monday) with fun live music! What a hidden gem! Mary and Cookie were so gracious given that we were coming in towards the end of service and gave us laughs plus excellent and efficient service. They were kind to our to young kids and tag teamed with the other fantastic waitstaff and bus boys to get us our food and drinks fast. One of the bus boys even helped us find a table with better fan exposure to beat the heat! Will definitely be back and recommend... read more
We were looking for a local flavor and pretty sure we found it. The flavors were all great. The service was quick and very nice. Drinks were tasty. It was a bit on the pricier side but was worth it in my opinion. Our table got a mix of food and it was all delicious.
Shrimp and grits AWESOME! Mac and cheese delicious as well as the corn bread keylime pie very good. Our waitress Mary tended like 14 tables and service was good rock star! Atmosphere is like being in a backyard bbq like it's named. Will return absolutely.
(6) guests. (3) kids eating from kiddo menu. Ordered (2) cups of the crab bisque on special that was very spicy and was very thin. Special fish of the day sandwich was also so spicy that we took all sauce off in order to eat. Creamy grits not creamy. Kids meals underwhelming for price. Meatloaf sandwiches okay. For price was a huge disappointment for a beach restaurant. Would not recommend or go back on future visit to HHI.
They were really busy and low on workers when we were here, so I feel that impacted the stress of workers and timing of food. The stereo was also broken at the time. However, my experience was still good overall! My blue crab drip was very good and served as my entire meal. My family enjoyed their shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, and barbecue chicken. The food was great!!
