RecommendedCute eatery. We really felt like we were in someone's backyard. Very inviting, home feeling. The food was really good. The grits were tasty and the hash brown casserole was amazing. Walked in on a whim and was so pleased!!!! Cookie the waitress was outstanding with her service and the young man who seated me was quick and courteous! But, I stayed for the Shrimp N Grits!!!! I had no idea they had been showcased on The Travel Channel when I walked in but now I know why!! I'll be back and this time to try the fried green tomato BLT!!!!!!
The staff was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Superior customer service. We ordered shrimp and grits and a fried green tomato BLT with pimento cheese with a side of Mac and cheese. We also ordered key lime pie for dessert. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place to eat. We will definitely be back when we come visit Hilton Head again!
We selected Lowcountry Backyard because of our previous visit. This visit they did not have entertainment which was disappointing. Then it rained, real hard. Our food was served while rain drops were coming through the (not so rain proof) umbrella. We were forced to shove down our food,( which was eh), and then got the hell out of there. A total waste of about $100. Service was not so good, in fact it seemed as though she forgot to put our order in. The manager eventually noticed we had not received our food and then ran int... read more

Delicious food... homemade ranch dressing was to die for. Crab cakes were awesome. The peach cosmo was also very good. Our server, Amy, was delightful. Will definitely add this to one of the must visit restaurants while in HHI!
