Melanie and Sarah from A Brighter Birth exceeded our expectations in every way. Not only are they the sweetest souls, they are amazing doulas and incredibly talented at what they do. I cannot imagine going through my pregnancy and birth without their guidance, positivity, and encouragement. Melanie is literally an angel sent from heaven and has helped us (immensely) through the first two births of our sons. Melanie is the Cesar Millan of childbirth. Her classes were incredibly helpful leading up to our birth, and we never could have done it without her. I have and will continue to recommend to friends and family.
I’m completely positive that if I hadn’t had Melanie as my doula, my birth story would be SO wildly different. I went into labor at 2 AM, arrived to the hospital at 11AM 5 cm dilated, and thus started a very intense rest of the day - 18 total hours of labor, and I started pushing at around 4:30 PM and didn’t deliver until 10 PM. If I hadn’t had Melanie and my midwives, I certainly would’ve gotten an epidural probably right when I got to the hospital and wouldn’t have had the power that I needed to push this big boy out!
