I had 2 mini-splits installed this winter, one in the living room and one in my bedroom. I was using them for Heat and the first thing I noticed is it was hotter than I programmed it for. I would set the temperature at 72° and would wake up at night and it would be 80° and I would have to turn it off. I called the manufacturer, Mitsubishi, and they said my model numbers need to be hooked up to a thermostat.
