Had dinner on 5/4/18, The staff were not very nice, Just paid for the view, Food was mediocre.
Went for our anniversary dinner. Requested a window seat 2 months ago when I put in the reservation but sat against the wall in the middle. Soup was good when it came out. The main dish was ok. It was better a few years ago when we went there first. The pork loin was really tough and was chewy like leather. Chef said it was in a brine overnight but there was no way it was at all brined. Duck was tasty. Service was slow up there. Don’t order a beer because is $10 for a bottle of domestic.
I’ve been to this restaurant a couple times and it’s been a steady decline. Standing in line waiting to go up listening to the employees use profanity and totally unprofessional. Than for the host to stereo type me saying they’re only serving entrees and pointed at the prices. Have to admit I was stunned and offended. My waiter acted like he had better things to do than serve me. Had lunch earlier at Bandera and received excellent service from beginning to end truly enjoyable. Our waiter, Jim was simply amazing! Helpful w the menu; always made sure u were taken care of; good conversationalist, but not too much. I proposed to my wife there 25 years ago; we just recently moved to Chicago so I have been looking forward to this evening. Was definitely not disappointed. When you go, ask for Jim P to be your waiter. ���

We had reservations for brunch to celebrate my birthday. We were seated at a center table, a window seat opened for 6 so we asked to move. They did accommodate us but certainly didn’t do so happily or efficiently. Service was beyond slow, orders took forever to come out and food was barely warm. The buffet was delicious and the view was incredible, but beyond that I wouldn’t go back.
