Slumlords. They refuse to operate the HVAC in their buildings correctly, we have had multiple roach and infestation issues, and the building refuses to even fix their gym equipment. For example, the rowing machine in the basement has been broken for 2 and a half years. They will not do anything about it. The heating and air conditioning only work one at a time, meaning that in October (when it's still 70 degrees here), they turn off the AC. Literally the worst experience my boyfriend and I have ever had. DO NOT MOVE HERE!! I do not care how much space you get and that the rent is cheap it is a hell scape. First of all the rent being very affordable was null and void because I got charged 400/month for electric which was charged through the building and I was not a direct ever source customer so essentially we were scammed. Bedbugs resulted in the loss of our mattress and bed frame, elevator was constantly broken, and they stole my security deposit and continued to charge me rent after I moved out at the end of my lease due to a hidden “auto-renew” feature (RENTERS, BEWARE). Someone even tried to break into my apartment because the security was so bad — I had to call the police. Truly a terrible experience.
