My first experience with 84 Lumber was negative (see previous review). However, I am here to say that they have worked with me to correct the existing problems. All of the problems were addressed and the work is now satisfactory. Joe Becker was instrumental in coordinating all of the necessary repairs in an expedient, professional and competent manner. For the first time in my life I give a -0 stars to a company, even though I had to mark a star which 84 Lumber honestly doesn't deserve! What a disaster, very unprofessionalism, and not least, it's competence is outrageous when it comes to warranty coverage. It's taken them over 6 months to exchange a door, 5 doors and it can ve properly cut, 5 techs, they all measure it for what? It continues to be improperly cut! I know nothing about doors so I called the "professionals". I called three times in the month of December 2021. Each time I spoke with a representative about a 5 foot French Door. After multiple attempts I was sent one quote for a metal door. I indicated that I was looking for a composite/vinyl type door to compare prices and an additional quote was sent. In the end I selected the more expensive composite/vinyl type door and the order was placed just before Christmas. The due date was 1/13/2022. When this date came and went... read more
Customer service not up to par. Went in looking to purchase composite decking. Picked out numerous samples and was told could not get any..out of stock. I get it with Pandemic short supply on a lot of things. However , clerk assisting us was not cordial at all. It was like were a burden to him. Finally tried a different product, picked out colors and was told to go home. He didn’t even have his lunch yet, he would call us back. Never got a call back. Will take money elsewhere.
Service, Honesty, and Communication is a no star rating at this 84 Lumber. This location does not keep a running record of deliveries to my address, told to me by staff. I have a project going on in front of my property. Obviously the lumber I had ordered could have been placed behind my driveway gates. Also the driver could have called me if they were sure where I wanted them placed. This is for orchard park store.... customer service on the phone is horrible... you have 3 doors in back on clearance.... I call and ask If 32 inch is still there. Wait 5 minutes and was told I needed to come In for the door to be measured and that they dont measure the doors ... are you kidding me you dont have a measuring tape...
Customer service is terrible - The guy at the service desk was unwelcoming and reluctant to help me find the lumber I purchased. My 1st time experience at 84 lumber in mtp is likely my last, very surprised this place is still in business.
