I joined "Transform Fitness" for personal training. The owner, Jake, pushed a "no excuses" mentality. In our third session, he insisted I lift a weight I told him was too heavy, yelling "you can do it!" I felt a pop in my lower back. I now have a herniated disc. The doctor said it was a classic lifting injury from improper form and too much weight.
