This has been the pattern here in downtown Indy for a while now: Huge company builds "luxury" apartments, seems great for the first few months, but then the things that were left unchecked/unattended during construction fall by the waist side, and staff do the bare minimum so their parent company doesn't get sued. Couple that with poor communication, threats, and lack of safety for those living there = recipe for disaster. 3 different property managers in less than 1 year. Animal or human feces is often left in the hallways and back stairs. The elevator has been broken for over a year, and maintenance issues are not addressed in a timely manner. The place is becoming rundown. The last property manager was even assaulted by a resident. Amenities are lacking, and for the money you pay, I would recommend you look elsewhere. UPDATE: as of 6/25/2025, neither of the elevators work. was scheduled for 2 separate tours, each time i showed up no one was there to let me in, and the one time a resident did let me in, there was no one in the leasing office. never recieved a call back, message, or anything of the sort. what a disappointment!
When I first moved into this apartment complex back in 2016 I was very much so pleased with how everything was going; for the first few years I had no complaints at all because at the time the building was being ran like a well oiled machine and the only time I ever needed to email the office was for simple things like light bulbs being replaced or seeing if the then professional property manager could set my packages outside of my unit Fast forward to today and I can’t wait to get out of this place come May 1st! DO NOT MOVE HERE I have lived at 800 Cap for several years, and I cannot wait to leave. The management is incompetent, communication is nonexistent, and basic maintenance is ignored. They charge premium prices for a place that is falling apart, unsafe, and managed by people who clearly do not care about their residents. Security is a Joke They love to advertise “secure building” and “gated parking lot,” but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
