RecommendedExcellent dining and hospitality experience. The food has been more inventive than usual lately, so you bet I'm still a regular. The drinks menu might look sparse at first, but it's carefully curated; just trust that everything on the menu is there for good reason and with intention. I've gone to 80 Thoreau with my husband on Restaurant Week for 8 consecutive years. The food is consistently exceptional. BUT, the dining experience was disappointing this time due to the anti social demeanor of the owner/maitre de. When it was time for us to pay, the owner came over to pick up our credit card and he didn't give us eye contact or ask how our meal was. That behavior from an owner is rude and unacceptable. I'll give them 4 out of 5 stars this time.
It’s basically the only high quality restaurant in the area. Great and creative food, excellent service and a fantastic wine selection. The menu is constantly renovated and with seasonal products. We go a few times a year. Really recommend it
