I just finished a one-year lease here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, affordable place. The apartment itself was great and spotless upon move-in. The building might not have a ton of amenities, but the price makes it completely worth it. The highlight of our time here was definitely Nima, the superintendent. He is incredibly reliable, always quick to respond to messages, and genuinely happy to help with any issues that popped up.
The location of 70 Spadina, is what spoke to me, it’s literally above Spadina Station. The area is very safe. You will find everything nearby. The management is very responsive and prompt with dealing with issues. Special shoutout to Mr. Nima and Gabi. The whole apartment is pretty quiet and neighbours are friendly. The unit also has a small fitness and recreational room. Casa Loma, Yorkville, UofT etc is just few minutes away. We’ve lived in this building for many years, and while there have certainly been challenges, I truly believe those come with any home—whether you own a house or rent an apartment. The management team has consistently worked hard to make improvements and address issues, and that effort doesn’t go unnoticed. Maintenance and repairs are a part of everyday living, and things inevitably break down. I’d like to share my experience. I went to see the apartment and it looked very nice. The agent was responsive and cordial throughout the process. That said, this is not a cheap condo considering it’s an older building with limited amenities and no security at the entrance. While the apartment itself looked good, after doing some research I discovered multiple concerning reviews mentioning issues with bed bugs and cockroaches.
