Amazing beer selection, but what sold us on this place was their food. Absolutely outstanding! Highly recommend the fish tacos and the bacon jam burger! My friend's au jois for his roast beef sliders was amazing.
Always great and knowledgeable service. Food is also fantastic.

Found my dream beer! That majestic brew unicorn! Not to mention the staff is beyond amazing. One bartender in particular unfortunately her name escapes me at the moment. After serving a younger gentleman his beverage, he smashes the drink directly behind my friend and I. He then stand there staring (he had already had one too many) and she kindly gives him another. In this review I'm going to focus on the food because everyone already knows 7 monks is a great bar! We got the Korean nachos and the grilled cheese sandwich. They both were well beyond our expectations. There approach on tomato soup was probably the most pleasant of surprises as it seemed to blend the concept of soup and dipping sauce into one. This is our all-time favorite bar in Traverse city! They have the best burgers and popcorn and beer on tap! I was there twice in two weeks and the food was phenomenal!!!! Wish it was closer to home!!!! You also need to sell that bacon onion marmalade!!!!!! Nom nom nom!!!!!

So my boyfriend and I went here Friday and had no problems with our ID's and it was a good experience. But we stopped by Saturday night and the guy at the door wouldn't let us in because his Norwegian license wouldn't count as ID and the guy had to be a jerk about it. I don't usually leave bad reviews, if it wasn't for this one guy I'd leave a much higher rating.
