I have had an absolutely wonderful experience living at 521 St. Paul Street Apartments. Since moving in during September 2025, I have truly enjoyed calling this place home, and I recently renewed my lease because of how happy I am here. One of the things I appreciate most is how quiet the building is. My neighbors are respectful and considerate, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a great place to live. I lived here for two years. The first year was alright, I read the reviews before I moved and saw the warnings but I figured "It can't be that bad, right?" Wrong. At first we had a nice and capable property manager, was she stellar? No, but she did the job and was responsive. Now? Good luck getting ahold of anyone at the office. After that girl quit, It was like a carousel of newer and seemingly more idiotic individuals, they would last 3 months tops. We'd get an email every time someone would leave... it was embarrassing. DO NOT LIVE HERE. The management is rude, unprofessional, unresponsive, and frankly has no idea what it is doing. The HVAC breaks every time the weather changes. During the summer, the AC went out and indoor temperatures rose to OVER 90 degrees. During the winter, the heat went out and indoor temperatures dropped to BELOW 60 degrees. Residents have spoken with the HVAC repair company that management sends out, and we were told that the HVAC system in the building is too old and must be replaced. It is currently 29 degrees in Baltimore. At this property we do not have heat. There is no sense of humane urgency in getting the heat fixed. Not only is the heat not fixed but I’ve submitted multiple maintenance request to have this fixed since December. It is now February and there is a consistent problem with the hvac in this building and I’m given a space heater to deal with it.
