Every now and then ( a New England phrase taught to me by my mother) it is a Saturday, and not just any Saturday, but a I wish I had pork chops Saturday. That"s when I head to the 5 O'Clock Club, since 1929, and their 2 huge 12 ounce breaded and deep fried pork chops. You may have 2 for 21.50 or one for 17 50. Love this place,but waited 1/2 hour for water after placing order and watched others around us being served their meals and sides long after we had been seated.
I absolutely loved the cod fish fry and you get a lot of food for a decent price.
I came home hungry tonight. Admittedly after driving around and around in the parking lot for almost 20 minutes looking for a spot, I was late for our 6 pm Meetup. However when I located our party who had been seated early, one of the staff grabbed me a chair. Then I was told rudely by the waitress that I couldn't be added to the table. I didn't argue or cause a fuss but let me tell you that it was a bitter cold night and I went home without eating.
