Good food, airport prices.
The bar staff is unfriendly, and the food is mediocre compared to the downtown location. The place wasn’t even busy, yet it took forever for the bartender to bring a glass of beer. Also, I understand ID age verification policies, but asking clearly senior citizens or elderly veterans for ID when their age is obvious feels unnecessary and even insulting. Maya was so attentive and friendly. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience.
I usually get good service here at the Ted Stevens Airport and come here a lot because I travel for work. Now I go back and forth to Anchorage for medical. I ordered my Yak burger and beer, but not once did the server ever came over and asked how the food was or if I needed another drink. I usually get 2 beers with my food but did not get the chance to. Maya, is our normal server and does very well. In the 20 years I have been in Alaska she is the only one that calls me by name.
