Trendy, Fun place. – I have to say I was shocked when I went to my usual spot and it was empty! I thought they had closed down but apparently they just moved to a more happening part of 6th street. I've been here for a few fundraisers for Cancer society and the local food banks and have always enjoyed myself. It's more of a lounge where you can actually sit and visit with your friends if you're looking for a more tame outing experience. Can't wait to try out their new location.
go here :) – I went here for a first date on a Tuesday evening. Not busy at all, so the waiter gave us a bunch of attention. Maybe more than enough, he kept interrupting our conversation haha. Its a great atmosphere and can be a very intimate setting when it's not busy (I once called to make a reservation the hostess said that sometimes it can be a bit rowdy, especially on the weekends) Love the happy hour and location! The Blackberry Martini is wonderful!
yep – 219 has one of my favorite bars in Austin. The location is prime and all of that, but the service and bartenders keep me coming back. That's all I ask
WORST SERVICE EVER – I HOPE MY HUSBAND DOESN'T DIE OF AN ANEURYSM. My maid of honor threw me a pre-bachelorette gathering here last year and we had a great time so I decided to have everyone meet us for a pre-birthday celebration here again last night (11/20/2010). The waitress was rude... when we asked for some extra olives for the Mexican Martinis that we were having, she came back and just slammed them on the table. My husband shows up and orders appitizers for the table. Another waitress comes out with three heavy plates... read more
gggrrreeaaatttt – Must go to happy hour hear! You will love the specials and the bartenders no how to make there damn drinks the right way!
Happy – The greatest happy hour of all times !!!! Half off most things on the menu
Citysearch Editorial Review – The sophisticated atmosphere features pale brick, mahogany-wood accents and dressed-in-black staff. A gently lit, well-designed layout with themed areas including a Southern-style Mint Julep Lounge with rattan furniture, upstairs Scotch Room with leather chairs, and the downstairs late night lounge. Customers, ranging from 20- to 40-somethings, watch sports on a flat-screen plasma TV. Specialty drinks include pint glass-sized mint juleps, plus there's an excellent scotch, wine and draft beer sel... read more
Good service – The atmosphere is relaxed and serves as a good place to hang out and enjoy a few drinks. It can get too loud to carry on a normal conversation but the earlier crowd is laid back.
hidden find – The location itself is nothing fancy but once inside it's rather nicely done. I've been here a couple times for benefits and nights out. Over all I say it's a nice place. The setup might be a little stuffy if you're looking for something more casual but nothing to complain about. Not my regular but I'll be in and out every now and again for events.
