Absolutely terrible experience with 1st Energy Solar. I would strongly caution anyone considering using this company. Since having the solar panels installed, we have had nothing but problems. The installation caused significant damage to our roof, and we ended up having to pay out of pocket for repairs/replacement ourselves because the company was no help whatsoever. Installation was fine and we've been happy with the panels for the past 4 years. HOWEVER - trying to reach anyone with in issue is impossible! They don't answer the phones and the online "case" submission constantly errors out. It's a shame because everything was fine until now. UPDATE 6/13/25: Need to fix the roof but this company doesn't do "residential" work anymore. We can't find anyone to remove the panels because other solar companies won't work on things they didn't install. We are screwed!
The customer care is “ZERO”. Staff not very courteous && cooperative.
This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. I have been having the same issues as all the other reviews. Customer service is horrible. This company ruined my roof. I don’t think my panels are working. My electric bill is higher now than before. They no longer service my region. I never received tax credit. The journey with this company has been a nightmare. I am stuck with a $35,000 loan and cannot get any resolution from this company.
