Visiting from out of town. I took a brochure yesterday so I COULD B 4 SURE what time they closed. I made it to the salon b4 4pm on Saturday and the doors were locked. I been sitting in my car waiting to see if any staff comes out. It's almost 4:10 pm now and nobody has walked out. So that means they left and closed way b4 4pm today. NOT COOL! But why should they care? They already got paid. They are not losing any money. Shady tanning salon business.

I went in last week for the first time! The staff here have been so friendly and helpful every time I've been in since. I'm new to tanning and they took the time to explain to me what tanning lotions are appropriate, and pick out the right one for me. They did inform me that this is their busy season, but they always greet each customer at the door and try to get them in, out, and on to the rest of their day as quickly as possible. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Went in last week and had my bed turned off in the middle of the session for a staff member to yell at me through the door to ask if I was wearing lotion because she could "smell it". I didn't put on lotion before entering the bed, by the way, and I especially didn't appreciate being yelled at through the door with other customers in the waiting area and other beds. Had my first tanning experience today at 1st and Tan and it is my new tanning home in Albuquerque! I love that the goggles and towels are provided without the nickel and dime dance. The staff was beyond courteous and helpful. I did the E-1 bed in room 1 and was so tickled by the fun decor. The bed was relaxing and the fan was perfect so I was the right temperature the entire time. I love being able to reserve my tanning time and bed ahead of time with the app! The management has a practice of making customers with appointments wait 10 to 15 minutes, so as to, make room for walk in ( non-apoointment) customers in the same or overlapping time slots A form of bumping appointments foreward or double booking at the expense of those who actually scheduled appointments. When this is done, no consideration is given to the customer that scheduled an appointment, not even a phone call telling them they have rescheduled your apppointment or moved it foresward by 10 to 15 minutes.
