There are a few good restaurants in Lawrence, but none I would consider world class. RND Grill, Merchant Pub & Grill, Ban Thai, Limestone, 715, Hank's Charcuterie - all "good" restaurants, but I've had better, whether it be in Kansas City, further away like Denver, NYC, or in other countries like Canada, Hong Kong, Thailand, etc. But the bread at 1900 Barker - it's bloody awesome! I have never had a less than perfect encounter with this place. Amazing coffee. Amazing bread. Amazing people.
Delicious pastry, wonderful coffee (they even have decaf) and terrific service.
The drink selection is fantastic, and I had the best quiche I've found in town so far. I was also offered nice cold water as I waited, which I don't believe I've encountered anywhere else. The atmosphere is very nice, I think it would be a great place to sit and study, or take your friend to! Everyone that works there is very nice and friendly. You can definitely tell that they care and are passionate about their work and eveything they make!
Petrehn's did it again!!! Tried fig/amond roll & cinnamon roll today. This place is baking lifted to an artform❤️
I was in here the other day with my father and daughter and I loved everything about it! The hard-working homey feel really completed the delicious food. I will DEFINITELY be coming back soon!!
Wonderful service from some lovely folks. Perfectly baked pastry (I had a Fig-Almond Roll) and a will-curated and creative coffee menu. I enjoyed my Espresso and Coriander Tonic.
