This is exactly what downtown has needed for years. Great place to unwind and have a little fun. These guys are great and their staff is spot on. They strive on keeping their customers happy and entertained.
Went there for first time last night. The service was not just poor,but non existent. I was finally asked to order and got the wild mushroom soup and pesto penne. The soup was barley warm, but very flavorful. My penne finally arrives and it has GNATS crawling over it! After finally getting our servers attention she took it back. Was very disappointed in our experience the other day as our group meet there. I found both the host and server were very overwhelmed. We arrived and they were not even sure where our group was being seated. They said there were 2 groups that day and they did not know where we were to be seated. Finally after being seated we began having our meeting They came to take our orders however, just started over talking the leader in order to get the orders taken. Well... We were told it would be a 30 min wait, and it was an hour. The food and drinks took a long time to get to us. The service was less than mediocre. The food was mediocre. It has such a great ambiance but needs more servers. Also, Friday night and no music like we were promised. Won't be returning.

1884 has it all. Great food, awesome atmosphere and entertainment, and an outstanding staff. The owner's and staff made our New Year's Event a very special night. So keep it in mind for an awesome, beautiful, and historic location for events, parties, get together with friends, night with that special one, or just to hang out.
