Excellent food, great drinks and good music And Fabulous Service!!! Don (our waiter) is the bomb! He even offered to crack my crab legs for me... lol highly recommend!!
Went to dinner on Jan 6, 2016 around 6:30 pm. We're seated immediately an waitress come over just after a few minutes. It was our first time to dine there. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. Drinks came and after 10 minutes appetizer arrived. We then ordered our meal. At 8:30 our dinner arrives and it was cold. Had to send it back to heat it up. Very disappointed in the service. Best wing deal in the county.........20 extra large wings and a pitcher of beer ...I like the wings grilled and the beer is cold. I'm there every Thursday
First time and my last time for 1884. Service was haphazard, ran out of soda and had to flag a server down just to get a refill. Ordered an appetizer that we never received. Ordered a burger and got the wrong toppings. Servers and what I assume was the Floor Manager were huddled together most of the time we were there chatting being unproductive. Prices were a little steep for the size of burger you receive. Like I said, once and done with 1884.
Went to dinner here twice recently. Steaks are the best any where around. The building was built in 1884 thus the name of the restaurant. It was originally a grand old department store like you see in the old movies with high ceilings, partial second level, and even the store manager's observation window where the manager did all the bookkeeping while keeping a watchful eye on any would be shop lifters. Nice atmosphere. Variety of food. A little pricey for what we got at lunch. Didn't like the potato salad and wasn't offered something else, so I was not impressed with my wait staff. I'll probably try it for supper one day.
We come here weekly. Sometimes twice a week. Have never been let down a single time by food or service. Sure sometimes they're slam packed and things get confused or come slow but have always been taken care of in any situation. Best atmosphere around!
The best food in town! Wonderful staff and owners. The atmosphere is wonderful! I recommend to everyone the buffalo Mac n Cheese!
Love to give credit where credit is due! Thanks Ariel (our waitress) for the wonderful service and recommended entrees. We've noticed a HUGE improvement of food quality over the last 6 months and this was, by far, our best experience! Try the pork chop (signature dish) and the peanut crusted mahi with a grape concord cream sauce. Think PB&J on steroids!!!! Yum! I wish I knew who was singing tonight because he is a diamond in the Rough! From Ella's request (Frosty the Snowman) to Garth and Hallelujah, he was wonderful!!
