Shora: I am terribly sorry IF you lost your dog (your story does not verify whether you euthanized or not.) In the 12 years of using the 17th St. Animal Hosp, I saw nothing less than professional and superior pet care by the entire staff. Perhaps something you tried at home caused more harm than good. Since the 17th St Clinic closed, literally 4 other vet clinics have harmed my dogs. FOUR! I miss the 17th St clinic, and I believe your story is lacking some facts.
Love Love Love Dr Coghlan!!!!! I absolutely love this vet. I started going to him about 18 years ago and a few years later moved to LA for work. Well... Being it was a hour drive I decided I needed a local Vet. Well After 5 different Doctors and locations later I returned 2 years later and have now been happily making that well worth it hour drive for my 4 dogs and 2 cats for over 15 years. Dr. Death....Worst Vet Ever!!!! Be AWARE!!!!!!! – I took my perfectly healthy dog Cinnamon to this hospital for a simple teeth cleaning by their Vet Tec named Angelos. Shortly after the procedure my dog started to cough and so I contacted him about it. He said that it was ok and that her trachea was probably inflamed. He also came over to my apartment and administered narcotics for which he is not licensed to do! But the coughing persisted and my Cinnamon started to cough up blood. This vet truly cares about your pet as much as you do. You can tell that they are not in it for the money, it's because they have a heart for all animals and want to give them the best possible care ever. The thing that touched me the most is when Dr. Coghlan, himself, tried to grab a urine sample from my dog the old fashioned way by waiting for him to urinate on the grass and capturing it so he wouldn't have to use a catheter, which is invasive and uncomfortable.
