First time there, they really knocked it out of the park. 5 stars all day
It took me five years to try 1776, and I live right behind the restaurant. Interior was somewhat dated; the floors uneven in spots, and where we sat on an elevated dining area, our chairs rocked every time a server walked by. However, it was our anniversary and the food was fantastic. We both had Prime Rib and it was about as good as we’ve ever had. Mashed potatoes and vegetable medley were also not the usual fare, they were great, both with a hint of sweet butter. Thanks 1776 for an awesome meal!
Superior steak and lovely dining experience!
My wife and I went here tonight to celebrate our 24 year wedding anniversary. We wanted to find a high quality steak house and we weren't disappointed! Great meal and service. Started with escargot. Then crabmeat, brie and spinach baked in a puff pastry. Then filet mignon and lobster tails. Followed up with a creme brulee cheesecake. Absolutely delicious! Our waiter Paul was knowledgeable, attentive and excellent in every way. We will definitely be returning!

Great food reasonably priced good service and nice atmosphere
Hands down my favorite restaurant period. I can’t think of a more friendly and knowledgeable staff. 1776 has a delicious selection of steaks and fish. If you are having a difficulty making a decision on your meal 1776’s knowledgeable staff can in detail explain their cuts. The lobster bisque is the perfect appetizer before any meal. Relax, dine and indulge.
Excellent food has a blackened Scottish salmon and crab cake sandwich. The creme brûlée cheesecake topped it off!
