It was just a one night getaway but everything about the 1740 House was perfect. Whether relaxing on our own terrace or the main terrace with a glass of wine, the river slowly rolling by in front of us washed away any stress. The fire pit on a chilly evening was the perfect touch to the rustic environment as was the fireplace in the room. Scott was a most gracious and accommodating innkeeper. We will definitely be back!
I have only been married for a few hours, however I could not leave for my honeymoon before raving about the 1740 House. The staff made planning everything smooth and easy. (Especially the young ladies that worked with me the morning of my rehearsal). We had our rehearsal dinner at the 1740 House and I could not have asked for a more perfect experience.
