My boyfriend and I had the best time at the 1740 House, and highly recommend it! It has amazing views, is a great setting, and they go above and beyond with hospitality. Our friend was getting married at its sister property, HollyHedge (which is also incredibly beautiful!) RecommendedThis is our favorite place. The staff is warm and friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are immaculate. Being right on the beautiful Delaware river is serene. picture perfect!! You leave your worries behind you when you stay here. I would highly recommend

1740 House is amazing! The grounds and Inn are beautifully maintained and the entire staff is outstanding! My daughter planned the most beautiful 60 th birthday party for me and we all had the best time! I already booked a night for the fall!
I'm so very happy to have discovered the 1740 House several years back, and have thoroughly enjoyed each of my visits. What a lovely oasis of quiet relaxation it is, the perfect retreat from the hectic pace of day-to-day life. From the warmth and friendliness of the fantastic staff to the simple but lovely decor of its rooms, the 1740 is one destination I look forward to returning to whenever I can!
