I've been living in this building for almost 2 years and so far, I've had little to no issues. The building is well maintained and free of bugs. Freddy and Carolyn (the building superintendent) are friendly and always prompt to answer any questions/issues that I've encountered in my unit. Rent is reasonable given the area but keep in mind that the building is not new although they've done numerous renovations as of late to keep it in good standing. It’s been a good experience renting with Cogir so far. The management has undertaken building renovations over the past couple of years which is good. The superintendents Freddy and Carolyn put in a lot of effort towards the upkeep of the property and are very helpful with all maintenance and repairs towards the units. The location of the property is very convenient because of its close proximity to groceries, restaurants, malls, libraries, parks and public transit. As a frequent visitor of this building I am sad to hear Carolyn and Freddy are gone and kicked out so abruptly...the way they took care of the building and they were friendly with everyone made we want to move there...not anymore!
While not a tenant, I have visited this building multiple times. Seems the management company have dismissed the superintendent couple (and gave them 7 days to get out, in this housing crisis, talk about corporate greed). The building used to be pristine, you could literally eat off the floors. Now...not so much. The grass is overgrown, the halls are dirty, the glass is smudged and the garbage is overflowing attracting all kinds of critters. Disgraceful. Avoid renting from this company at all costs.
I’m so grateful for this building and the superintendents. Since their arrival they have gone above and beyond. The building is always clean and the tenants are friendly. Updated on June 3rd 2025: I'm at a loss for words. The superintendents came here 3 years ago. Since their arrival, the building revived. I know all my neighbors now!
