I started service with Pack Rat on October 2017 had a issue and spoke to rep regarding taking the money out of my account every week she agreed to this and no late fees were to be charged, well in May 2018 two payments were charged on the same day which caused over 500.00 in charges to my bank account which caused me to be over drawn and other important bills to be returned the card was cancelled and it took weeks to get this rectified in the mean time I had surgery and forgot to call pack rat with the new card number althou... read more
Horrible Service!! We had an out of state move when the pod was delivered the driver didn't know how to drive and cracked the driveway. Of course they said they were not responsible because of the fine print in the rental agreement that would take hours to read! When the pod was delivered to the destination it was a week late with no reason as to why. After many calls with supervisors still no reason on why our stuff didn't arrive on time. DON'T ever use this company!!

I've been in the process of moving for over two years. I have had numerous delays in my schedule and have made several requests of the people at PackRat central office in NC as well as local storage facilities. Each and every time my requests were immediately received, politely answered and resolved just as quickly--right up to today's delivery by driver, ******* *****. I made arrangements with Packrat over the phone. We needed to rent a 12 foot storage container. First, they charge more for a 12 foot container than a larger 16 foot one because "there is more of a demand for 12 foot containers and we don't have as many." I paid an extra $50 for next day delivery. The next morning a driver called to say he was on his way with a 16 foot container. Customer service Interaction with PackRat May 29th. I must say I had the worse interaction with PackRat customer service by phone yesterday. I kept getting disconnected and did not get one call back after leaving my phone number to three people there. The company and the Supervisor did not change the quote to match POD's which is on your website that will match competitors. I RENTED A PACK RAT IN AUGUST 2017. IT WAS THE WORST GO WITH POD OR SOMEONE ELSE. THEY DROP OFF LATE PICKED UP LATE. DROP THE STORAGE CONTAINER IN MY DRIVEWAY AND THE DOORS COULD NOT OPEN ALL THE WAY AND THAN AFTER THEY PICKED UP THEY STILL TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR A PICK-UP FEE. Overall my experience with 1-800-Pack-Rat was positive. The employees of this company that I have interacted with seem hard working to meet customer expectations. I used this company to perform a 1,100 mile move with 4 months of storage while we house-searched. We started with knowing the area we were moving to but not an exact zip or town - this was no issue for 1-800-Pack-Rat who was able to store in nearest storage facility until we called while closing to update delivery address and date. I called and spoke with ****** (sales) who sold me on two 16' long containers, transit to NC, storage for 3+ months and ultimately delivery to a new address. She assured me that the two containers could be delivered side by side in my driveway (even touching)! So I provided CC info for a deposit etc. The containers were to be delivered on Tuesday.
