I placed an order Thursday for a birthday cake to be delivered, today, Monday Feb. 9th as a surprise for my husband. I've been calling ALL day to get an update on the status. No answer, got a recording 10 times. I paid overnight shipping charges of $35. Almost as much as the cake. 1-800-bakery be ready I'll be expecting a full refund and contacting my credit provider.
I paid the extra amount to have my order delivered on my daughter's birthday (a Saturday). I can see that 1-800-BAKERY had the item in the city on time; however, UPS did not fulfill that promise. As a result, it was delivered late.
I used 1-800-Bakery for a last minute "Happy Birthday" surprise and ordered the Happy Birthday petit fours. The petit fours were delivered in one day . . . My friend sent a pic and I was thrilled to see how big they were, and she stated they tasted as good as they looked! They were really beautiful, and it was a perfect present! I will definitely use Chef Steve's services again!
