The person over the phone confirmed that my insurance would be accepted, even after verifying using my member ID. When I arrived, the person at the front desk informed me that it would not be accepted because it was legacy insurance and informed me that their system over the phone will still verify and say it’s accepted, even though it isn’t. I ended up paying out-of-pocket because I didn’t want to go through finding another urgent care.
The young girl working at the NE Grand location 05/18 ~8p needs to be guided/trained/corrected/terminated for announcing to a full waiting room very personal information. Total HIPAA violations. I have visited multiple ZoomCare locations over the years and not once have I ever been so EMBARRASSED and HUMILIATED by an employee in the patient waiting area. The front desk staff & other medical assistants were very kind and overall it was easy to book this appointment, however I had a horrible experience with Dr McGowan. He looked what I can only describe as amused when I was telling him about the extreme pain I was experiencing. Very disingenuous during all other parts of the exam & intake. I felt entirely unheard and very disregarded. quick to get an appt for me (2hrs for x-ray called at 5:30 Monday). Efficient professional friendly care when I got there. much better than a big hospital system for this kind of care, and they did the job well. thanks
