Zoku was a great first-time experience. We started with the spicy karaage, yaki onigiri, and shishito peppers, and everything was well-seasoned and full of character. The onigiri was particularly memorable—smoky, savory, and delicious. I was searching for a spot to get a good dinner for my birthday, but I was blown away by Zoku! It exceeded my expectations, truly. I had a great server, tried several things but what stood out was the a5, really the steak in general. (I had both) it was cooked medium rare and it melted in your mouth, my favorite item was the mayo shrimp but the steak is a very close 2nd. I enjoyed everything else and would for sure come back
Really pleasant dinner. I was a little skeptical of the oyster prerperation, but it ended up being absolutely fantastic definitely my favorite dish of July thus far.
Very very good food, cosy feeling and actually just like being in Japan
