The Only Liquor Store – I unfortunately had to go to a lot of bad liquor stores before I finally found Zipp's. Up until that point, I was pretty convinced that liquor stores were just not good places to go to. Zipp's is full of knowledgeable and friendly staff. The knowledgeable part has been extremely nice when I go in to try something new. This 40-year-old liquor store has the best selection of kegs and unique wines in town. – In Short If Surdyk's in Northeast is high-class hipster paradise, then Zipp's is its crustypunk liquor-lovin' cousin. This doesn't mean that the wine, spirits and beer selection here isn't almost on par with that sleek and more-parent-presentable liquor stop along Hennepin.
