Totally a five start surgeon! I had total trust in Dr. Zinkel since he was once of the first to perform minimally invasive surgery. I had a herniated disc and sciatica in my left leg. It has only been 30 days for me but I can tell the difference already. According the staff at Beaumont, he is a perfectionist, which I absolutely loved to hear. I want a surgeon that truly cares about his patience and wants the best for them. It may take a couple of months to get an appointment but so worth it
Dr. Zinkel has always been very trustworthy in everything that he's told me. I respect that he well known in the industry as a leading expert and has dedicated his life to neuroscience. I would recommend him to anybody I know as I can guarantee he will provide the best service known to mankind at that period of time.
Dr. Zinkel exuded confidence that with this surgery, lumbar fusion, I would be 90-95% pain free. 4 months post surgery, I am 100% pain free and feeling wonderful, couldn't be happier! He was straightforward, personable and answered all of my questions before I even asked them. I never felt rushed or patronized. He was also proactive in securing treatment for another medical issue that was unrelated to the surgery. I was in extreme pain prior to the surgery and he gave me much hope for the future
