Dr. Zimmerman was extremely unprofessional, often comparing her own personal tragedies to what she considered to be lesser tragedies of my own, such as my mother passing of cancer. She was also judgmental, spoke of her own personal wealth, and dishonest. If you are looking for help, please go elsewhere.
Dr. Zimmerman was clearly inebriated today. She was slurring her speech throughout our discussion. Up until today, my experience her has been good. Except that my first session, there was a plumber working in the house during my session. She’s almost another person when she drinks. She tried to excuse the slurring of her speech saying, “I know I’m not pronouncing my words properly today, I’ve had a hoarse throat.” She regularly forgets information about me, people close to me, and even what time of day I work. DO NOT RECOMMEND She appears to have a lot of her own problems and needs to get help (not try to give it).
Wonderful Doctor – I have seen Dr. Zimmerman for the past 3 years and found her to be helpful, an attentive listener, and provider of thoughtful insights. She knows when to be empathetic and when I need a kick in the tosh to get things moving. I am grateful I found her and have recommended her to several people I know seeking therapy. (For the reviewer above, I have never seen her drunk.)
BEWARE!!! – If i could give her 0 stars, I would. If you would like more issues than you already have, go see her. She is horrible. At first I thought she was cool, until I went to visit her for the 3rd time, and she was so drunk that she couldn't pay attention to what I was saying and could barely hold her head up. I guess that is what happens when you have your practice out of your house.
