We saw Dr. Zimmer for a well visit to establish care with my 2-year old. I was told upon check in that our insurance was out-of-network, and I told the receptionist that I didn't want to proceed with the visit. She called her manager over, they entered a few more things into the computer, and then confidently assured me that the appointment would be in-network. Later received a $530 bill from Aurora. My children have been seeing Dr. Zimmer since infancy / toddlers. I find her to be very thorough, warm, responsive and a good communicator. Her nurse is also excellent.

I've been forced to go to her because that's who my mother had chosen for my pediatrician but now that I'm of age I'm most definitely seeking another doctor. She gave me two Pap smears and each time she stuck the probe in the wrong place (pee hole). And prior to the test she told me she didn't want to do it because "you teenagers worry about every little thing" if I'm getting doctor bills and she's getting a check she should examine whatever I ask or refer me to someone who can preform correctly.
