I wish I could say I had a better experience here. The Charles House was very cold most of the time. The House Manager Deanna was very combative and condescending.... not great for someone who willingly put herself there to try to sober up. She had a reputation for driving clients out as told to me by my housemates...this is terrible and defeats the purpose of sober living. I have never lived in Sober living and was not sure what to expect. I am so pleasantly surprised. The house is beautiful!! The rooms are spacious and a perfect size to share. The beds have good mattresses on them making for a comfortable nights sleep. We all share the chores so keeping the house up is not to hard. I was in Zen Mountain in 2023-2024 for 9 months and I will say it was a great experience! I was so nervous and wasn't sure what to expect because I've never been in a sober living environment before but it turned out to be way better then expected. I bring meetings into treatment centers and I always recommend zen mountain to the ladies that are looking for their next step after they complete their treatment! I would HIGHLY recommend Zen Mountain for sober living! I have been here since May 31, 2024 and I can honestly say that being here saved my life and taught me a new way (a very successful way) to live as a recovering addict and alcoholic.
