It's a great room but I always felt the customer service is very poor. No personality whatsoever.
Great Drinks, Unfriendly Staff – I love the location of this coffee bar since it's next to Vroman's magazine stand and just down the way from the Laemmle's movie theater. The drink and food selection is great, however each time I go, the staff always remains unfriendly. The guy gets your order, makes your drink, and gives it to you with the warmth of a robot. At least smile and say hello! At any rate, it's still a welcome break from Starbucks.
Who needs BigBucks? – Zeli Cafe in Pasadena offers great service, great coffe, AND free wireless internet.
Coffee and books – Attached to the great Vroman's bookstore, Zeli is a nice place (usually fairly quiet) to enjoy some coffee, some reading or some quiet conversation with friends. Even their sandwiches are great, if you're looking for something different than the usual neighborhood restaurants. They always have a good assortment of breads, cakes, or muffins to enjoy with your beverage of choice. I've even spotted a "star" or two enjoying the quiet scene.
