Intelligent, kind and compassionate!
Taya, is gentle, my injection never hurts. He is very knowledgeable. He explains everything.
I wait over 3 hours to see the doctor. He schedules 6 patients every 15 minutes plus does procedures at the same time. He refuses to fill pain medicine unless you get injections, whether they work or not. His staff are not understanding about the wait times, they are unapologetic. They stand around and chit chat when there are 50+ people waiting. Staff turnover is high. If there were more pain management doctors in the Western Hills area, I am 100% positive all of the patients would leave him.
Pro: Dr. Tayeb seems to really care about patients. Cons: Waiting room chairs very dirty and uncomfortable. No concern with patients already in pain waiting 2 to 3 hours to see doctor. Staff forgot to order key medications on several occasions. Staff knowledge of things like pain pumps is limited and very concerning. Pump set up incorrectly. Staff response was "I'm human". Not acceptable when a mistake can kill you. Not confident in staff ability to calculate pump medication dosages.
The wait time is ridiculous. My appointments from arrival to departure has been averaging 2.5-3 hours. The chairs in the waiting room are hard and uncomfortable. They are painful for someone with a bad back. Staff turnover is extremely high. I have not ever had the same MA. On the plus side....Dr. Tayeb is awesome and genuinely wants to help people with chronic pain.
