Upscale Boston dining, nice neighborhood bistro feel, no big-city parking hassles: What's not to love? – Zebra's is my favorite restaurant.I try to get here at least two nights a week. Sure, I dress up and sit in the dining room with my wife to celebrate special occasions, but the prices are reasonable enough to make it an everyday spot, too. And the varied and constantly changing menu keeps me coming back. Foods I've tried for the first time here (and loved!): venison, cockles, soft-shell crab, tuna sashimi, foie gras (so g... read more
Best appetizer – Zebra's has the absolutely best appetizer. It is the lobster and fig pizza. This is a wonderful blend of tastes that makes a wonderful entree as well. We have also ordered this item for take-out to eat at home. The atmosphere is not the same but it still tastes great! We also enjoy Zebra's knowledgable wait staff. Our favorite waitress is Jean!
Out of this world seafood! – When we moved the metro west area of Boston from San Francisco, I thought we were in restaurant waste land. Lots of typical dull suburban restaurants, but none of the great small bistros like we had in bay area, we had no choice but to drive into Boston. Then we discovered Zebra's Bistro. Zebra's reminds us of home and is better than the drive into Boston. Out of this world seafood and the hip, trendy, unpretentious dining experience we have missed so much without the hassle of going into town. G... read more
Medfield restaurant serves a varied menu that includes modern fare and sushi. – In Short Residents of quiet, suburban Medfield--whether they're in the mood for a full meal or just a light bite and a drink--skip the drive into Boston and head to Zebra's. The regular menu includes modern interpretations of classic comfort fare (braised lamb shank with leek and gorgonzola risotto and honey-thyme poached baby artichokes). There's also a sushi bar and wine bar, both of which are perfect for solo diners.
Always hoppin'; creative dishes; nice atmosphere – We have been many times and the food is almost always excellent. The salads are very good, especially the endive salad. The scallops, salmon and sea bass are very good, as well. I would suggest the scallops or sea bass as the salmon is rather plain. The asparagus wrapped in some sort of crust is delicious. On our last visit my salmon was cold and by the time it came to the table, my husband had just about finished his dinner. On one visit, the waiter forgot our appetizer. Bu... read more
Oasis in the suburbs – An upscale restaurant with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food with pleasing presentation. Sterling service !
Great service and unbelievable food for a suburb restaurant – Zebra's is a must try! Creative and consistenly delicious food; whether you are there for sushi, brunch or dinner. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly, prompt and servers who know their food. A must try is the medfield roll and the rainbow roll for sushi!
Best Metro-west sophisticated dining – Not having a great restaurant near home was the worst part of leaving the city for the suburbs. Zebra's has changed all that for us. Sophisticated food and wine with a casual atmosphere just a few miles from home. Everyone feels comfortable -- your in-laws and your 18 year old son. The sushi is fabulous and one of my favorite take-outs. Also, outrageously sinful after dinner coffees.
Civilized brunch in Metro-West! No, I'm not kidding! – Attention foodies! You no longer have to sell pints of red stuff to park in the South End and enjoy a fabulous brunch on Sunday morning! Here's what you do: Get off 128 at Route 109 West, drive about 10 minutes, and hang a right onto North Street at the Mobil gas station. Zebra's is right there -- park anywhere. Find the front door with funky jazz music being piped out onto the sidewalk. Walk in, enjoy the fabulous colors and rotating art display, and be greeted by frien... read more
