This Dr. went to school out of the county - not sure why he passed medical licensing. They are the rudest folks that you can find. He doesn't like older patients with multiple health conditions - his eyes glaze over while he's not listening to a word being said...he hears blah blah blah and then terminates the appointment. Says come back in a year - I'll likely be dead by then but it's obvious he could care less. He recommended tests but no one from the office ever follows up by calling you to arrange appointments. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I was a patient here in 2021 and recently called to schedule an appointment. I was told that because they haven’t seen me since then, they could no longer take me as a patient. I offered to complete the new patient paperwork, but was then told they wouldn’t accept me due to “too many cancellations.” I want to make it clear: I have never canceled an appointment with them. After being a patient of Dr. Finnila and AVALON for several years I was sent a letter terminating me as his patient. You see my vocal cords are severed and paralyzed. I developed a chronic problem that is fatal and called Aspirating Pneumonia, which in 2025 hospitalized me 6 times, while two of those 6 hospitalizations began on life support. Money hungry doctor! Having me do lab work every 3 months...swear I was pre-diabetic...never treated me. However, when I canceled an appointment because I questioned them on the frequency of this and how I was worried my insurance wouldn't cover...they explained how if diabetic you can have labs every 3 months. I've been going to him for over 2 years. I wasn't pre-diabetic then...but I still had in house labs done every 3 months.
